Location
we went to the Harbour of the River Rhine in Basel, Switzerland. This Location is awesome in many Ways. Very old Buildings and many of them in decay... i love to go there for shootings.Time
Afternoon, was fine for the Shooting. I prefare a cloudy Day .... soft light and less shadowsLighting
for outdoor shootings : Available Light, no direct Sunlight, less Shadow !Equipment
Canon EOS 1 Dx, Canon 70-200 L IS 2,8 Lens, Manfrotto Tripod,Inspiration
This location at the Rhine harbor is full of surprises . give it an infinite number of backgrounds and things lying around that ...it is always something to discover there. When Sarah was playing with the Stones this idea occurred...She took the Stones from the Railway and so we decided to let them "fly"Editing
a little more contrast and less light ... that was it!In my camera bag
oh yes my Bag.... always to heavy :-) the Canon 1 Dx with this wonderful 24-70 L 2,8 Lens and the 70-200 L 2,8 ( Canons BEST)... beside the 2nd Battery and a lot of CF Cards, Flas Light, some Tools and clanning stuff... a bottle of Water and fruits... knife...soap...many unnecessary things... ;-) i guess around the 15 Kilos with the Manfrotto Tripod.Feedback
focus on the eyes . the model looks at the camera. The selected stones bright or dark and they need to stand out from the background . Bokeh.... is very important. large aperture and fast shutter speed . choose the Distance from the model to the camera so that the bokeh is right and the stones can be thrown forward .
