Location

I took this photo when I was bored and wanted to capture mundane objects as more intriguing things, so I walked around my garage and I found this wrapped up metal cage to take pictures of.

Time

This was taken some time in the late afternoon.

Lighting

I only used natural light, which was a simple light source, and it lit the picture perfectly. Natural light is the way to go!

Equipment

This was shot only using my old Kodak Easyshare C195 point and shoot.

Inspiration

It was a summer day and I was very bored. I decided to doing some photographing (or course) and I wanted to try some place different, so I headed for my garage and look for ordinary things and details of my garage to shoot.

Editing

No post-processing

In my camera bag

I have my graduated, neutral density, and macro filters and even a few more filters. I try to carry a notepad and pencil with me just in case I have sudden inspirations or photo ideas I need to write down. I carry my tripod with me whenever it is convenient enough, batteries, and cleaning clothes.

Feedback

Any one looking to capture objects like this should look for the details of a big scene and focus on them instead of on the big picture. You should try to bring out a certain element in the photo, like in my photo, the symmetry and the lines were the main elements. Other main elements could be things like color, shape, or texture.
