Broken Heart Mended

After my father passed away I gave up my belongings and moved from Calgary to British Columbia, trying to knock things off my bucket list. Becoming more adventurous was on that list. Through out my new adventure I ended up in a very abusive relationship but luckily I was able to end it and move on. I ended up dating again and this photo was from the first date. The date lasted 12hrs and was full of adventure...my best date ever. As my date found this perfect spot he had shown me where the tree had separated but grew back into a heart shape. We sat there for awhile taking in the beauty & noticed little garnets in the sand which happens to be my dad's birthstone. My father served in the military & was a peace keeper in the Cyprus war. His last wish was to travel more. Since his passing I carry his ashes & spread a little at a time in special areas that I think he would like. This was one of my favorite moments in my life so far. This photo is not manipulated...this is as raw as it gets!
