On a recent trip to Iceland with my family during which I was under strict orders not to bring any camera other than my iPhone I managed to sneak off and rattle off a few exposures. This was one of my favourites. It's from the beach at the back of the Opera House in Reykjavik looking out towards Mount Esja which is the mountain in the photo. I had to wait for a good 30 minutes for my field of view to clear of tourists with selfie sticks. And I got this lovely composition without having to Photoshop the hell out of it. Very pleased indeed! Icelands natural landscape has a formidable presence historically on it's people and now the world as it's become this photographers paradise.
