My husband, kids and I have just moved across country from B.C to Newfoundland . Cod season is only open for a few weeks a year. On this morning I went down to the stage to watch my uncle gut and clean the fish he had caught. With only a few weeks a year open to catch cod, you take advantage of the time to catch your limit each day so you can freeze fish to feed the family all year long. I plan on learning to do this myself, but for now I take pictures of what it means to be a true Newfoundlander.
