I went out earlier this week, chasing the Milky Way. I had done my research as to the best possible viewing due to clouds. I ended up choosing to drive south the Sanibel Island. The weather report was accurate for where I was at, I had hardly any clouds overhead. What I failed to scout was the clouds due south of me, where the Milky way would be seen at. The entire evening, it was hidden behind the bank of clouds on the left side of the photo here. So I tried to make the best of the situation. I am completely comfortable shooting at night, so I tried some new things with my camera.
It was the perfect evening for my experimenting. There was no breeze, so it wasn't there to blow the humidity and mosquitoes away. There were people walking the beach, with their flashlights, looking for seashells. Last but not least, it was a good three hours from my house. All these things made for a fun evening. That last part was obviously in jest. They were all challenges that had to be overcame, but all worthwhile when you get something like this photo. I hope you all enjoy it.

One of my favorite places to do night shots and long exposures :D I live only 30 minutes away from here.
