That's incredible. The close up on the flowers make the shot look really dramatic. Epic angle and composition.

Location
I took this photo in the fields near Towton, North Yorkshire, which is the site of a battle in 1461 during the English Wars of the Roses. ' It is described as "probably the largest and bloodiest battle ever fought on English soil"Time
It was taken around 10.30pm on a mid summers evening.Lighting
The lighting is just natural and I bracketed for the extra detail needed.Equipment
Nikon D810 14-24mm lens, Gitzo tripod. LEE filters Circ. polariser.Inspiration
When I saw the field of poppies I had to capture an image they looked glorious!Editing
This is about 3 frames one for the foreground, one for the middle ground and one for the sky blended in photoshop by using hand created masks. In my camera bag
These days my kit comprises of 2 x Nikon D810, Nikon f2.8 14-24mm lens, Nikon PC 19mm tilt and shift lens, Tamron 90mm Marco lens, Nikon f2.8 24-70mm lens, Nikon f4 70-200mm lens and 3 Nikon SB910 flashguns.Feedback
I would recommend getting to grips with luminosity masking, shooting exposure bracketed images and blending techniques in Photoshop. It has never been a better time to learn photography as there are so many tutorials available...I use Creativelive.com a lot, Lynda.com, Greg Benz Lumenzia and Elia Locardis tutorials through Fstoppers.com......skills make magic, magic does not make skills!
