Location
I took this photo in Switzerland during a discdog competition.Time
It was around noon with a bad strong light on a side.Lighting
The only way to work with a black dog was to find a solution to exploit the light on him on a side only.Equipment
I used a Nikon D4 with a Nikkor 300mm f/2,8 without any kind of tripod or flash.Inspiration
Black dogs always inspire me because people say they are difficult to shot. I find them so interesting and beautiful for their elegance joined with their intensity.Editing
Yes I did. I used PS to reveal all detaild on black fur and improving the colors and sharpness. In my camera bag
I always bring with me my best cameras that at the moment are a Nikon D5 and a Nikon D750 as back up. Then I love to bring a Nikkor 300mm f/2,8 (incredible for action shot), a Nikkor 200mm f/2 (amazing for portraits), a Nikkor 70/200mm f/2,8 as back up, a Nikkor 105mm f/2,8 for some portraits and a Nikkor 24mm f/1,4 for some kind of action following closed the subject.Feedback
I suggest all photographers to work with an open mindset without walls! Think and make it happen!
