Many years ago, I traveled to Syria where the people were some of the friendliest and most welcoming I have ever met. These kids are a few of the many that ran up to us throughout the country with huge smiles on their faces. I wonder what has become of them now with all the destruction that's taken place in their homeland over the last few years. I can only hope that they are safe.
