Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my yard. I am an artist (Painter) and I am always looking for the color in God's Creation to add to my paintings.

Time

This was taken early in the morning after I was walking around with my coffee. I saw the beauty in the colors and ran to get my camera. I am also painting this flower on a 24 x 18 canvas print. Most of the pictures that I take, I paint.

Lighting

I believe that as a photographer and artist, you have to feel the colors in your soul. You have to focus on the beauty of the object or the item, sometimes you need to be very close to see the colors pop out and the angle has a lot to do with how beautiful the picture will be. I take pictures the way that I think they will appear on a Canvas if I was painting it...

In my camera bag

I am not a professional photographer, I just use a small canon camera and I am only looking for beautiful colors, so I just keep it in my car. One day, I might be able to afford the big camera and then who knows what I will take...
