raver goggles from '99 used for sandboarding / dune buggy. The tanktop poorly wrapped around my head to protect my ears from the sand, was reminded I look ridiculous, had to snap this selfie.

Authentic enough! U could have been an extra on a Mad Max movie set!

Location
Took this quick selfie in the deserts of Huacachina, Peru. Moments before running and stumbling down the sand dunes like a kid, laughing the whole way.Time
I recall climbing a massive sand dune for half an hour in pursuit of catching the sunset cast it's magic over the desert. Skies were dimly lit with surreal foreverness.Lighting
No planning went into this shot. I didn’t intend on taking this selfie until I saw how ridiculous I looked. I took many shots of the desert that evening because the natural lighting and the setting was so astounding that it seemed like just about any shot I take was going to turn out beautifully. I wasn’t wrong.Equipment
Took this selfie with my LG G4 smartphone front facing camera, using only natural lighting.Inspiration
It was hot and windy, making the sand almost unbearable. I could feel it in my eyes through the tiny holes in my goggles and in my ears. Sandstorm! I desperately took off my tanktop poorly tying it around my head, covering my ears, at which point I was ridiculed and laughed at by the very person I was travelling with. Used the front facing camera on my phone as a mirror to check out my ridiculousness for myself, I had to snap this shot.Editing
I love post-processing to bring out gritty and moody images. Used a little post HDR effect to bring some depth and definition to my clouds and ridiculous face.In my camera bag
LG G4 phone, an old Canon 20D with an 18-25mm Canon lens and a 70-300mm sigma lens. Also for variety, I carry a Sony WX350 point and shoot. Very low budget setup at the moment but like everyone else I have dreams to go bigger.Feedback
I try not to let a moment go by without giving it the potential shot consideration. After I started heavily investing my time into visuals and found my style with post effects, I now take more of the photos which could be useful to me, you can always edit out and delete but you can't always bring back that moment to shoot additional footage.
