Location
This was taken at Silver Lake County Park in Bristol, Pa.Time
This was taken at 10:35am on May 23, 2009. My mom and I like to go walking in parks early in the day, because I like to photograph turtles, snakes, lizards, frogs, etc., and she likes birds and flowers. We tend to find them more in the mornings, and we also like being out when it's not so hot. This was actually a plant that we saw as we were leaving. I thought the flowers were pretty, so I snapped a photo.Lighting
It was regular morning daylight.Equipment
This was shot with a Kodak Z740 Zoom digital camera.Inspiration
I honestly just thought it was pretty. The original coloring of the flowers were white with little pink buds around them. It was pretty against the green backdrop of the other plants.Editing
I use a Linux-based computer program called "g-thumb" to organize and edit my photos. One of the editings I can do is to change the saturations, colors hue, and intensities in a photo. I was looking at the original of this shot, and realized that it would look a little like falling flowers if I took the background away. Once I darkened out the background, I started using different amounts of color. I liked the purple shading the best. That and the shadows really made the flowers look like they were individually falling through the air.In my camera bag
All I have is my little camera, extra batteries, and extra SD cards.Feedback
