Location
This photo was taken in my house on a glass table.Time
This was taken in the middle of the day, or perhaps late afternoon. The lighting was just right so that I could see an incredible and clear reflection on the table.Lighting
Only natural lighting was used - I really wanted to capture the pure elegance and outlines of the glass and the water ripples, so I kept it simple.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D5100 with a prime lens.Inspiration
I was doing some work one afternoon when I noticed how the table was incredible reflective. What started out as a simple afternoon turned into a messy one, filled with pouring water onto the table in hopes of capturing the perfect shot.Editing
I only flipped the photo so that the reflection was on top!In my camera bag
I normally keep a Nikon D5100, a 30 mm prime lens, and a zoom lens so that I can have the ability to switch when needed.Feedback
My advice is to find the right time of day and a reflective surface where you can capture the reflection quite clearly. And to have patience! It took me a quite a few tries to get this shot just so I could include both the real glass and the reflected glass.
