Behind The Lens

Location

this shot was taken son a long weekend holiday in London with my wife , I'd been sightseeing all over London and after a trip to the top of the shard we decided to have a walk over the tower bridge and get to the Tower of London , we stopped on the bridge and I decided to take a light trail shot , on taking the shot I decided to take a few more shots to make an HDR.

Time

this shot was taken at night around about 7 pm

Lighting

the lighting is all natural I used no flash but just increased the exposure andf stops to create the HDR

Equipment

I used a Canon 5d mk2 and a 70-105 lens on a tripod leaning over a handrail

Inspiration

Id Been doing some light painting and light trails before hand and thought this a good opportunity to capture a few light trails

Editing

I used photomatix pro to create the HDR

In my camera bag

I Usually travel light when on short breaks the camera body canon 5Dmkii Canon 70-105 lens and a canon Zoom

Feedback

if your trying to capture a shot like this stability is a must , a tripod or gorilla pod are essential along with a cable remote , pick a good spot where you're not going to vibration especially on a bridge and just ..... enjoy !
