Location
The photo is taken in Sandslätt, wich is a very very small village in the southwest part of Sweden. I dont think its on any map!Time
It was a dark and misty Autumn morning, so I went up very early to go for a walk. Just before I went, I decided to bring the camera. Just in case. I felt tired and not up for it, but often at this moments, thats when magic happens.Lighting
I was drawn to it because there was a few spots of light that made the scenery magic.Equipment
Canon D60, a half broken 15-55 mm lens. Thats pretty much it.Inspiration
I'm a Tim Burton fan. I love places that has a dark yet mystic and beautiful aura. You dont know if the water is peaceful. Or if there is something horrifying creature or a beautiful deer in that dark forest.Editing
I wanted a more dreamy feeling, so I made it a little unsharp and played with shadows, contrast and glow.In my camera bag
My Canon D60 is always with me, and that broken 15-55 mm lens. I also have a 50-70 mm Tamron lens. There is a lot of other stuff in my bag that has been very useful on my "walkabouts": a sketchbook and a few pencils, so that I can draw a quick capture of the scenery. It helps me focus and I can also play with materials later if I want to and mix the drawing with a photo. There is a lot of fruits in my bag too, and a small flash light in case I stay out until dark.Feedback
You dont need to go to new places to find your photo. I've passed by this place a thousand times in every time of the year, and suddenly, on a misty autumn morning, I finally saw it with new eyes.
