I took this photo in the early afternoon hours. It was approximately 1:00pmLighting
This was taken in the winter after some snow so I had to compensate for the brightness of the snow reflecting from the river below the bridge. I did this by slightly lowering the exposure.Equipment
The camera that I used was a Nikon D3300. The lens was a 55mm-200mm. The camera was attached to a sturdy tripod watch was particularly important on this day as it was slightly windyInspiration
When I pulled up under this bridge I immediately was entranced by the symmetry and the depth before me. The sound and sight of the ice breaking against the pillars made it more interesting. The end of the bridge was almost impossible to see hence the name: "Endless"Editing
At the time I did some minimal post processing with Photoshop Elenents 14 by increasing the midtone contrast and removing some haze.In my camera bag
My Nikon D3300, a 55-200mm lens, a 35mm lens and Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Motorized Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras. I also carry some polarized and neutral density filters.Feedback
Don't be afraid to go wonder around. Take an a road trip, go on a little adventure. I stumbled on this photo opportunity by simply driving around close to the river about 40 minutes away from my home. And always make sure you have sturdy tripod.
