Photographing people does not interest me much. For some reason though, I couldn't resist this opportunity. In this case, I'll blame it on my gear.

I was on my way to work this particular morning, extremely out of sorts, because it had the audacity to snow. In February. In New York. Just because I should be, and am, used to it, doesn't mean I have to like it (I don't). I had recently upgraded my camera to a Panasonic GH3, it's weather sealed, and acquired an Olympus 60mm lens, also weather sealed, so all was not lost this morning. This was my opportunity to test how well my near gear could handle the elements. It wasn't all that great of an opportunity, while the platform is above ground, it's mostly sheltered; and while it was snowing, it was far from a blizzard. But when life hands you snow, make snowballs, or snoballs if you're in New Orleans, which is where I wished I was that morning.
