Behind The Lens

Location

I was at the Indianapolis Zoo. They have an open enclosure and my 4 year old daughter was talking to him and he sat up like he was paying attention.

Time

It was in the late afternoon

Lighting

It was cloudy and I shot fast to get the right exposure that I wanted.

Equipment

Canon T3i with a kit lens

Inspiration

I loved the way he turned his head to listen.

Editing

I took the tail out of his mate that ran by, and cleaned up a scratch on the window.

In my camera bag

(2) flashes (3) lenses (2) extra canon batteries (2) sd cards (16 g bc I always have problems with the bigger ones getting corrupted files, but never had that trouble with 16) Remote Macro lens Quick charger Microfiber cleaning cloth Reflector (medium- it folded up small and I hang it on the outside of my bag.)

Feedback

I shoot at 1/500 when I’m shooting children or animals to reduce blur and adjust my other setting to control exposure.
