Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my home. Russia - Chelyabinsk city

Time

The idea for this came to me late at night, as it usually happens. When I saw a lot of bright flowers standing in the vase. My parents brought them from the country. A second later I wrote to a friend who the next day came to pose for me. It was a cloudy day. I closed the curtains to complete darkness.

Lighting

The capturing at home does not requiring much of natural light. Especially if you want to catch the model in motion. Frames with a long exposure preferably to do in the dark room.

Equipment

During shooting I used the flash from the camera and Christmas garland! The flowers are tied on strands. Strands tied to a long stick. The stick was tied to chandelier... Which almost fell. A few seconds of long exposure: just swing a garland at the background and then click flash. The model wagging her head before every click of flash.

Inspiration

I have long wanted to try to take a photo with flowers, a garland and a beautiful model. Why not combine these ideas?

Editing

Yes, a little bit. Color correction, retouching unnecessary shading..
