A captive shot is one that is taken with the animals brining confined in some way. Some are breeding facilities that are trying to help repopulate, some are facilities that are private that raises the animals for photographers, video, commercials, documentaries etc... and then there are the zoos where you can get animal shots closeup in small enclosures. If I am not out in the wild I have a few places I go where the animals are in select enclosures large and roomy to capture action. You are basically in very close proximity to some of the truly beautiful creatures in our world. Sorry if I got to wordy
