Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken during a sunset boat ride in Aveiro, Portugal. This bridge is rather unique because it is a single circular bridge that unites the 3 margins of 2 river canals.

Time

Sunset.

Lighting

Just a very nice golden natural light from a very nice sunset. :)

Equipment

I used a Canon 60D at the time, with a 18-55mm kit lens.

Inspiration

It was a very picturesque boat ride, with a beautiful sunset, so my camera was already at hand. And I’ve always liked to play with silhouettes! :)

Editing

Not really, just minor adjustments.

In my camera bag

Right now, I always carry my Fuji X-T3 with a 35mm lens (and a couple of spare batteries!).

Feedback

Aveiro is a very photogenic city, at any time of day. During the golden hour, there are lots of opportunities to get great pictures by the river canals, taking advantage of the people passing by (using them as silhouettes, for instance) and playing with contrast and composition.
