Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in the City Kolkata, The Victoria Memorial is a large marble building in Kolkata West Bengal, India, which was built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria (1819–1901) and is now a museum and tourist destination under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. The Memorial lies on the Maidan(grounds) by the bank of the Hooghly River, near Jawaharlal Nehru road.

Time

The time is about 5-30 afternoon before Sunset .

Lighting

I have gone several times to take shot of Victoria Memorial. But this time I have observed the position of setting sun is beautiful.Thats why I shoot this and got the beautiful reflection of the setting sun and the building also.

Equipment

I used Canon 1100D camera with 18 - 55 lens, no tripod nothing else.

Inspiration

The building is beautiful and most attractive . The Photo of this building can be shoot any time of the day and night.

Editing

I only adjusted the brightness , contrast and gamma correction during post processing.

In my camera bag

Tripod should be used to shoot this type of photograph.But this time I did not carry it. I also carried 55- 250 and 50mm lens.

Feedback

First of all it would be shoot in raw format where we get better result. But you can ask me why I did not. Answer is I did not know the post processing of Raw file. Now I can do it. Tripod should also be used...
