This photo was taken in my home office. My dogs often like to lounge on the leather couch to stay cool.Time
This picture was taken in the early moring. Everyone was sleeping and I had decided to get some work done. I had been sitting on the floor for some time, and happened to have my camera near me. The timing was so perfect. The blinds were open and the early moring sun had just started to come through the windows.Lighting
I love shooting early morning near a window. The light is fresh and soft. It gives a natural look to the photo without using a flash.Equipment
This was shot with nikon d5100 and 50 mm lense. That's it. No additional equipment was needed.Inspiration
I love my dog.(keke) She has been my best friend and companion for many years. I have always felt a special bond with her but was never able to capture it on film. In this shot she was sitting next to me,very content.I felt like I captured a moment of solitude.Editing
I did a little processing. This was shot in RAW mode. I was able To enhance the shadows. In my camera bag
I always carry at leat two lenses. My fifty is always with me. I love this lens It very versital and is easy to carry. I also usually have a wide angel or zoom len and my SB700 flash from nikon.Feedback
I think having your camera on the ready is always great advice. I always have my camera in arms reach. Sometimes the opportunity for the perfect shot comes and goes so quickly without warning. Candid moments are priceless. I also keep my 50 on my camera, unless I'm doing a photo shoot. For the effect in the picture I used early moring sun and was level with my subject. The picture was taken from a side angle. A tri pod was not used. It's much easier to get in close when your holding the camera.
