Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photograph in Brewster Massachusetts, nestled right in the middle of Cape Cod. I was lucky enough to spend a week in Brewster. My exploring brought me to Linnell landing road which brought me to this wonderful little beach known as Linnell landing Beach. If you catch the tides right you can walk out a few hundred yards and feel the sea clay beneath your toes as you focus in on the beautiful orangey hues. What a view!

Time

This was taken on a warm, breezy summer evening, just in time for the sunset around 8pm.

Lighting

I wanted to capture the true colors of the sunset.

Equipment

I was using the Canon t3i and Canon lens 18-55mm. At the time I had a old Nikon stand from the late 80s or early 90s, that was handed down to me, and helped me get this shot!

Inspiration

My love for the ocean inspired this photo.

Editing

Post processing done on this photograph was a slight tweaking of the highlights and shadows.

In my camera bag

Equipment I usually carry in my lowepro hatchback bag is my Canon t3i, and my Canon lenses 18-55mm and the 55-250mm lens.

Feedback

Enjoy your surroundings, this will help you see the little things that could easily be overlooked. Also, go to the beach!
