I spent a night with my tent and my camera looking for a picture of milkyway
Here I am in a place called "Prati di Sara" that sounds like Sara's grassland; for me is one of the best place you can find into "Parco Nazionale Appennino Tosco Emiliano" in Italy.

Location
This picture was taken in a place called "Prati di Sara" that Means "Sara's Meadows" into National Park of Appennino Tosco Emiliano ItalyTime
at what time? during a long night looking for a milky way shoots! I waited some clouds to create a frame to a milky wayLighting
Lighting during night is always a problem ahahah only stars during a new moon light, but I was there for that!Equipment
This picture was taken with my Nikon D800 with Nikon 14-24 f2.8 ED my tripod Benro Travel AngelInspiration
I was looking for a dark spot into National Park of Appennino Tosco Emiliano, and this place is a little plateau that around is protected by mountains, the peak you can see in the picture is the second peak of this national park and is 2125mt and is called Monte Cusna or "the Giant"Editing
In this shoot as usual for nightcap post-processing is really important, i use in a first moment Adobe Lightroom to adjusts shadows and light but most important to reduce noise reduction, I love the easy way of lightroom to reduce noise.Than I used Photoshop to post processing the stars and particular for galactic center, using different mask and different level for curve. In my camera bag
Now in my Bag i have: Nikon D750, Nikon D800, 14-24, 24-70, 70-200 all lens are Nikon f2.8 If i work in a wedding I have 50mm f1.8 and 85mm f1.8 Nikon both I used a lot of filters, from circular polarized to Graduate Filters and a filter that reduce 10 stops exposition.Feedback
one of the most important thing to take pictures of milky way is a place where you took it! Most important thing is a dark place, without light pollution and these things happens always far from city, if you go in mountain you can reach some good place, clarity from human pollution is really important to reach a good result.
