I like the painterly effect of this but really think it would do the shot more justice if you could tone down the highlights a touch, When I joined the Royal Photographic Society a couple of years ago, one comment came back to me again and again - and the board for getting accredited said the same thing - there shouldn't be blown highlights or complete black shadows. Always try to keep the detail , Ive been working on that and have changed my style radically in the last 20 months or so and have done much better in competitions and on my ON-Line presence . The composition is very nice, but watch the very first sliver of pillar on the left that doesn't need to be there.
I hope you don't mind my comments, after your suggestion to look at it I thought I would voice an opinion, which I rarely do.
