Northern conservancy Maasai mara

Time

This was taken late afternoon, the mother and her three cubs had spent the resting out of the sun's heat and the glare of the camera

Lighting

Nothing good about the light at this time of day, hi 3200 ISO used

Canon1 DX: Canon 1D MKIV: Canon 7D MKII: Canon 200-400 zoom with 1.4 extender: Canon 600mm MKII: Canon 70-200mm f2.8 canon 400mm f2.8: Canon 16-35 f2.8: Canon 24-104 f4: Canon 1.4 MKIII extender. Bean bag: gitzo tripod & monopod : unique ball ; various lee filters

Inspiration

Right time right place i suppose, as a wildlife photographer as soon as something is happening you always want to capture it.

A little,just to lift a flat raw image

keep trying and keep looking, these special moments don't present themselves everyday, when they do be prepared.If the light is not so good don't be afraid to ramp up your ISO, a shot with noise is better than no shot at all. Most of all be patient! Good luck
