One of my favorite breeds. I have the Russian wolf hound Borzoi but I have always admired this breed. Beautiful capture

Location
This photo was taken in my parents backyard. My parents breed Irish Woulfhounds so there are always some "of beltine" models willing to strike a pose for me.Time
This was taken in the late afternoon, after the dogs had their diner they always like to walk and play around in the backyard.Lighting
The slowly setting summersun gave a beautiful light, when i saw it i was compelled to go out and take some pictures.Equipment
I used the nikon D3100 with the Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG MACRO Not the best lens, but i'm just starting out and teaching myself about photography. I love the long focal lenght, it is great to get up close without distracting the dogs.Inspiration
Growing up in a pack of hounds made me an enormous dog lover. I can read and understand dogs very well, and i love to capture their behaviour. Animals are the subjects i feel most comfortable around taking photos. When i saw the beautiful light of the summersun starting to set, there was no doubt in my mind, i had to go out with the hounds and shoot. Kate is one of my favorites to shoot, she's always so graceful. She has really long hairs and beautiful furnishing. Her (to) light eyes capture great on camera and let you see in to her soul.Editing
Not mutch, just some tweaking the white balans and color intensity. Thats it ...In my camera bag
The camera use (for now) is the nikon D3100. Accept from the kit lens i have the sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG macro, witch is great for shooting animals without distracting them from what they're doing. The other 2 lenses i have in my bag are the nikkor 35mm F1.8 and the tokina 11-16 mm F2.8 wide angle lens for landscape photography, with some additional filters. Accept from the extra SD carts and batteries i alsow have the nissin i40 flash and the redged TCA-522K tripod in my camerabag.Feedback
Keep your eye one the light, you will see when the strenght and angle of the sunlight is just right. Use a zoom lens so you can keep your distance and just let the dog do what it does, and have patience, he or she will strike the perfect pose.
