Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Weston Super Mare seafront. Here in Weston, we have the most spectacular sunsets. I was lucky enough to catch this one.

Time

I shot this photograph in the early evening, when the sun was just going down. The clouds throughout the day were awesome, which really shows up in my image.

Lighting

I managed to capture this sunset so that the clouds still look bright and natural, but the Pier in the foreground is a complete shadow. This photograph is unedited.

Equipment

Canon PowerShot SX230 HS, no tripod, no flash, no additional lens.

Inspiration

I am inspired greatly by sunset photographs and landscapes. I love taking photographs of them because they are such warm natural occurrences.

Editing

This photograph is surprisingly unedited. It just goes to show that you only need a camera to take impressive photographs.

In my camera bag

I usually carry a camera, but a smartphone can have the same results.

Feedback

The main advice I would give, is be patient. The right photographs come at the right time. Plan ahead, like I did with the sunset times and don't worry if you don't have professional equipment, I didn't.
