This photo was taken at my home in my living room before I had a studio. I am a self taught photographer and love challenging myself. This shot was a MUST HAVE for this little boys Cake Smash Session!Time
I took this photo around 1pm in the afternoon. I had two constants and my on Camera Flash. Looking Back I wish I would have set my ISO higher So that I didn't have to use my flash which created the shadow.Lighting
It wasn't the best lighting situation because it was in my dining room which didn't have a lot of natural light. I used two constants and my on camera flash.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS REBEL T3, f/ 5.6, Exposure 1/30, ISO 400(now I know was way too low, should have gone higher so I wouldn't have had to use the flash), 24mm. I had two constants and my on camera flash.Inspiration
I wanted something that would capture turning ONE in one single photo! Messy baby feet is what I saw, I am so happy I got this shot.Editing
I used lightroom and photoshop to touch up this photo. In my camera bag
I carry three to four lenses, my camera body, extra SD cards, and an extra Battery.Feedback
You need a strong partner to hold their baby up because they want to move their feet a lot so it might take a few shots to get one that is just perfect! Have fun with cake smash sessions, don't worry about the mess they make until after the session, go with the flow!
