I took this photo in a cats show in my town. All the kittens were in cages so I payd much attention to make them blurred, that's why I used my 50mm f1.8 at full aperture.Time
It was a very hot summer afternoon on 16th June 2013 at 17:21.Lighting
The light was just the one offered from the artificial lights of the showroom. This kitten was in perfect position, with great reflections in its eyes. No flash was used.Equipment
Nikon D90 with Nikkor 50mm f1.8D.Inspiration
Just three simple words: I LOVE CATS!Editing
Sharpness was really great with the lens I used, so I just added a very little of it in post. Then I enanched the eyes to give them just a little bit of light more and I removed a little dried tear-drop on the kitten left eye.In my camera bag
Other than my loved Nikon D90, I have the Nikkor 18-105 in kit, and then my two favourite lens: the Nikkor 70-300 VR and the great Nikkor 50mm 1.8D that I used in this shot. Then in my bag there are always plenty of memory cards (in size of 8 and 16 GB) and 2 batteries, a cleaning kit for lenses, and some ND and UV/skylight filters.Feedback
Just do what you love, if you love cats like I do go wherever they are, better in the natural places where they live in (our homes!) but also in showroom like I did in this occasion. And so you will have the chance to take pictures of the things you love!
