Location
This photo was taken in the living room of my home in central Massachusetts, New England USATime
This was taken during the evening hours of a long and stormy winter. New England winters can last forever!Lighting
Since it was evening the only lighting available besides a flash was the lighting from the flame and a dim light bulb was lit on the other side of the room. I liked the bokeh created by the flame's light bouncing off the backdrop.Equipment
I'm a Canon girl. I used my Canon, handheld, no flash.Inspiration
I was relaxing in my favorite chair and thinking about how we are motivated to make changes in our lives. The term "light a fire"came to mind in the course of that thinking and when I looked up I spotted the lit candle. It lit a fire in me to take a photograph of the flame and serves as a reminder that we have to have fire in our hearts to warm our soul.Editing
There was no post processing done on this image. What you see is what you get. Life is like that sometimes. :)In my camera bag
Camera, lenses, an extra battery and SD card and an external flash are always in my bag. My bag is always with me, too!Feedback
When you are having "deep thoughts", look around you to see if there is something that you would perhaps not normally even notice which may be an image to represent the thought. You'd be surprised at how many images can represent a thought pattern once you get into the habit of looking for it.
