While driving across country, from New York, NY, to San Diego, CA, this landscape was really serendipitous. As we were improvising and reinventing our trip everyday, we decided last minute to go visit these unexpected sand dunes in the middle of New Mexico. At arrival, we discovered the amazing (and largest in the world) field of white sand dunes composed of gypsum crystals. In all the places I have traveled to, this landscape will definitely ranked among the most surprising ones.
