Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken down in the South East of the UK, this area is called the wash in Norfolk, this is a bird conservation area.

Time

This photo was taken in the golden hour approximately 9.30 pm

Lighting

there was enough light to take the photo in auto also the camera was set for a sunny day.

Inspiration

opportunities to snap this kind of photo do not come along all that often therefore as soon as I could see the sun beginning to set this shot was a must have.I came on holiday the previous year to a place called Kings lynn a few miles south of where this picture was taken.While touring this area I saw these holiday chalets positioned directly in front of the sea, so I dicided at that point to book my next years holidays here with the main purpose being to take good photographs. Not for one moment thinking the weather was going to be a heat wave.

Camera settings are very important so you must try and practice using the various settings on your camera in order to take the best possible photos.Other methods to consider before taking a photo are the use of a tripod this will assist in the reduction of vibration and movement, therefore increase the quality of your picture.I have also found if you use your zoom lens try not to extend your distance by your digital zoom this will provide you with clearer photos,as the more you extend further into the digital zoom the quality of the photo declines.
