Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in a studio I once shared with talented photographers... I was testing my new home made background, and thus created a whole serie with it, which this picture is from... well almost, since it's an outtake of the original serie but it's the one I love the most !

Time

I was a saturday, that's for sure but the time of the day I don't really remember.. I was shooting the whole day for this serie... we had so much fun that we clearly lost track of time.

Lighting

I'm a big fan of the "keep it simple" So just one light, and always big reflectors to shape it how I want !

Equipment

I still shoot with my old Canon 5D mark II, and for this one was taken with my 50mm 1.4...

Inspiration

This picture is part of a serie I did to test my new Background.. what inspire me.. certainly the background I created a few weeks before ! and I wanted something really simple, really calm, a little bit like a summer breeze... (we weren't even in spring when I shot this xP)

Editing

I post process this picture after strugling so much during the post processing of the original serie. !!! There's a lots of color toning to bring back my beautiful background, lot's of curves effects ... I think this processing represent my body of work better than the original serie.. so that's certainly why, even if this is an outtake, I love it the most !

In my camera bag

I always pack my 50mm ! I wish I had a 85mm too ... because it'll certainly be my second lense to go ! I always have clothespins !! many compact flash cards, and I always forget my spare battery =_=
