Location
This photo was taken in a place called Round Lake. It is located in north of Ottawa, Ontario. This happens to be at a friends private camp. I woke up early and ran around in front of the camp to capture the morning sunrise. This one came out the best. There was a light misty fog just burning off the lake. I would have stayed outside longer but it was super chilly.Time
This was around 5:30 - 6:30 am on a chilly day. I didn't plan well for taking the shot as I was not dressed for the weather. This picture turned out amazingly well for me and was very pleased with the final result. I didn't want or need to do any touch up to it I wanted it to be 100 % natural. "I have fallen in love with this picture and it inspires me every time I look at it."Lighting
The light in this pic was all natural and only having the sunrise from the front really made the sky and calmness of the water reflect and stand out.Equipment
I took this pic with a Canon Power shot SX30, ISO 100, Aperture F/3.5 . I took the shot using my hands as steady as I could seeing as it was so cold out. I wish I had a tripod for the pic would have been even better.Inspiration
"I am inspired everywhere with photography." There are so many shapes and designs and smiles and landscapes that can be shot everyday, it makes it easy when you are in a secluded area to just shoot what you want when you want without distraction or pressure. As I was just getting really started with a better camera I wanted to capture an emotion through the lens of where I was at the time. This photo really brought that inspiration forward to me and I haven't looked back, I am trying several different techniques as well as genres of photos. A wise photographer once said, "SHOOT EVERYTHING!" I have taken that to heart and continue to use that as my motto.Editing
I have to admit I don't have any post-processing software and this photo I have just left it as is, natural and moving. In my camera bag
Well, since Christmas last year I have been carrying my new camera the Canon T6i with an 18-55 lens as well as the 55-250 telephoto lens. That is about it...I prefer to do most of my shots outside and during daylight, sunny or cloudy. Some of the other shots on my Viewbug profile are from my older point and shoot the Panisonic DCM-TZ1, I really got comfortable with this camera before I moved up to a bridge style camera and finally to where I am now with my DSLR.Feedback
I feel that if you are inspired by this photo, you should try to visit somewhere you have never been and just sit and watch the lay of the land without distraction. Take a shot when you feel that it is right for you, and you have the feeling you want when looking down the lens. I took this picture on day 4 of 5 after 2 days of just watching the landscape until I got the emotion I wanted to share through the photo. I feel that photography is and always will be about telling a story and I still here that today. I feel that the story in the photograph should give the viewer some emotional response to help them understand their own feelings at the time of viewing. Where it takes them on there personal journey, only they will know, unless they take a picture to share.
