Location
This little guy ( Lace Wing fly) was captured In the little town of Bagdad Az..It was just outside the shop where I work. I work for FMI Bagdad Copper mineTime
I was working the night shift, walking around the shop when I spotted itLighting
I use a Canon MT-243EX flash where was a bit of light from the LED lighting above the door. Just a note I set my Flash and Camera for manualEquipment
I was using my Canon 5D mark 3 with a 100mm 2.8 L and the Canon MT-243EX flashInspiration
I have always liked Macro photography and the little Brown lace Wing fly caught my eye I just had to get a shot or two..Editing
I did crop the shot a bit and sharpened it some. I use the editor that came with Windows. Nothing fancy..In my camera bag
I pack two cameras. One set up for Macro. One with a 150mm-600mm and a mid range lens plus cleaners and anything I might need when I am out hikingFeedback
Patience.. and lots of it. Now I did not do it with this Lace Wing, but if you catch the bug and cool it a bit in the refrigerator ( do not kill it) I find that it will slow them down so you can pose them for the shot. Set your f-stop for the depth you desire. This is best captured as I mentioned on manual settings
