Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a very beautiful trip to Colorado. We went sight seeing and i just couldn't pass by the opportunity to take this picture! I absolutely love traveling for the beautiful opportunity to take pictures and share with the people how beautiful the simplest things in life can be. I am only 15 years old so i am still learning and working with people and trying to grow in my abilities!

Time

This one of one of my favorite pictures i have taken. I took this mid-afternoon. It was such a beautiful sunny day, partly cloudy but just such a beautiful day...i couldn't have gotten this picture if it wasn't for the perfect timing of day!

Lighting

The sun light created the perfect effect on the land. The sun hit the beautiful lake perfectly and created the stunning beautiful color of the blue lake.

Equipment

I used a camera..i will be honest with you all, i cant exactly remember the kind of camera since i have gotten a new once since i took the picture. I did not use any flash for i knew no flash was needed.

Inspiration

What inspired me to take this picture was my love for mountains and the beautiful mountainous view. I have always had a passion for taking landscape pictures. I am attracted the beauty of blue oceans and the amazing things the sun can do to enhance the beauty of oceans, lakes and rivers. The view of the mountains just caught my eye! I couldn't have found a prettier view than this! What also inspired me to take this picture was the thought that i may never get the chance to see the beautiful mountains again.

Editing

I honestly did do some post processing, very very little though due to the fact i wanted my picture to be original. I wanted to let others see the beauty of the earth without all the breath taking and amazing editing you can do! The earth is beyond amazing and special and there are so many things and views in the world that we can take pictures of, why not be original.

In my camera bag

I always just have my camera with me and that is pretty much all. I try not to carry to much equipment with me....i am not the most organized person in the world!

Feedback

My advice to any other photographer is, continue to take pictures! Follow your heart, if you see a view that makes you breathless..take the picture. You never know if you will ever get the opportunity to come back and see that view again. When trying to capture a picture like this try to find the perfect angle, move around and take several different pictures. Once you take several pictures of your view from different angles, look through them and see which one really takes your breath away. Most importantly...ask for feedback. Not everyone will love your pictures and that is okay...Always try to have fun. Give your photos personality, make them unique and make them stand out! Let your pictures be part of your story! I may just be a 15 year old and I may not have the ability to travel and explore the world like many photographers, but it doesn't stop me from pursuing what I love, there is beauty in everything, you just have to open your eyes to the world.
