Child's history

I captured Afzal, the child of 'Child's History' in Fatehpur Sikri (Agra) in India. He loiters in the Mughal monuments inside the complex while his mother sits nearby in the Dargah and sells chadars to tourists. He is oblivious to its history and importance but has explored the monuments well enough to give a new meaning to its geography. He showed me corners and pathways that would otherwise be invisible to a novice. In history he finds the present. In the static sandstone monuments he finds activity.
