Nothing draws tourist to Washington, DC like the cherry blossom trees that surround the Tidal Basin. The task for the day was to arrive before sunrise to catch the blossoms in the early light. Mission accomplished. After packing my gear and walking up the hill I glanced behind me. This scene made me stop in my tracks. Knowing that the morning light doesn't wait for anyone to unpack gear, I grabbed this image with my iPhone.
