Behind The Lens

Location

This is a water fountain installation in the center of my city, Cluj Napoca, in central Romania. The area is also known as the ancient Transylvania.

Time

I just dropped my kids to their English class and I was trying to find a bench in the park, by the water fountain,to wait for the time to pass and go pick them up.

Lighting

The photo was taken with my iPhone 6S. Nothing modified to the lightning.

Equipment

The photo was taken with my iPhone 6S. I modified it a little in VSCO.

Inspiration

I am a big fan of water and the sea. I imagined the little water springs as being miniature waterfalls and together they were creating a water arch tunnel view that was so awesome, it would invite anyone to snap it in a photo.

Editing

Yes. I used VSCO to increase the sharpness and to lower the light intensity. Other than that, it is all just the original my phone captured.

In my camera bag

I used to carry my iPhone 6S. One week ago I got a EOS Rebel T6i from Canon as a gift. I am still learning how to use it.

Feedback

Always have your phone or camera ready and do not look for "normal" shots. Anyone can get those. Try to think of a view angle that would make you say "wow, how did they take this photo?" and try to stand in that position as you shoot. Also, make sure you do not take too much light in your photos. I find it that keeping shots darken adds to their mistery. ????
