Behind The Lens

Location

taken at the zoo in springfield mo they have a injured eagle exhibit and this one is missing a eye and can not be returned to the wild

Time

taken around 10am

Lighting

it was a bright sunny day

Equipment

canon 7D with a canon 100-400 lens manual mode spot metering

Inspiration

the eagle is such a majestic bird and at first he was turned with his bad eye to me but then he turned his good side and I just had to capture him in all his glory

Editing

I added a small amout of sharpen as I shoot in raw adjusted the light in photoshop just a small amount

In my camera bag

2 canon 7D body's canon 85mm f1.8, canon 28-135 canon 15-85 and canon flash filters

Feedback

yes sometimes a shot is worth the wait , be ready for the shot but patient enough to wait for the moment to capture it.
