Location
This photo was taken on the southeastern edge of the Adirondack Park in New York State. This is one of my favorite roads to take to and from work.Time
This photo was taken around 8:30 am shortly after dropping my kids off at school.Lighting
When the sun is becoming lower in the sky and the leaves are changing, this road becomes bathed in a golden glow. I really liked how the blue sky was on top of this golden tinted light and the contrast between the two colors.Equipment
I believe this was shot with a Canon 7D and a 17-40 L F4, handheld.Inspiration
The light and many colors all working together to illuminate this scene were impossible to ignore. I couldn't stop looking at the amazing colors of the leaves and the crystal blue sky.Editing
I brought up the shadows a bit, added some clarity and added a touch of saturation to match the colors I saw when the photo was taken. In my camera bag
Canon 7d, 6D, 17-40 L F4, 24-105 L F4, 70-200 L F4Feedback
Always look for that thing, the thing that pings in your head as you are driving. If you think to yourself "I should have taken that photo", hit the brakes turn around and capture that moment in time. You won't regret it!
