Hi Lincoln you are obviously familiar with the name Manel as you have replied with the correct spelling of my name. Manel is like a pet name. not much of an abbreviation but once pronounced it has 2 syllables instead of 3 syllables in Manuel. So it is an abbreviation of sorts.
