Behind The Lens

Location

It was on the opposite side of the river Tees to Middlesbrough

Time

I'd been working late and it was a lovely evening. I have my camera in the car and on impulse went out of my way to take this. The sun had already set but ths sky was perfect

Lighting

Sun had set but the light was beautiful

Equipment

I used a Nikon d5200 and a 35mm f2.8 prime lens on a tripod.

Inspiration

The lovely evening. I was coming from work and on the spur of the moment decided to take a detour and capture this

Editing

I really didn't do a great deal of processing. Just bumped up contrast a bit and lifted colour.

In my camera bag

I now have a Nikon d810 with sigma 70 - 300mm lens. 105mm macro lens. 11 - 18 mm wide zoom and tripod plus a couple bits and bobs, shutter release etc.

Feedback

Timing is the main thing. I was lucky with this, but if you know what you want, plan it well and be there at the right time. It'll come together.
