Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from the balcony of a hotel located in Broumana of Lebanon.

Time

It was taken after midnight. This night was a special one with my beloved wife. Our third marriage anniversary, the 24th of April.

Lighting

The moonlight was essential in taking this photo. I noticed the light has a nice effect on the chair with the shadow of the balcony parapet on it. The light on the floor and the golden lights in the valley gave the photo a great balance in its composition and colors relatively.

Equipment

It was taken from a Nikon D5100 with a small tripod without any flash. I used a remote to have a net photo result.

Inspiration

When I saw the beauty of the moonlight, I recognized it's the perfect time to take a photo. The position of the moon was perfect for the composition mainly. In addition to that, the combination of the ornament and the moonlight was superb.

Editing

The photo was great in its composition. I noticed that the color balance should be modified. It was too dark in some areas of the photo. Finally, I made the color tends to dark blue.

In my camera bag

My camera bag always contains a Nikon D5100, a Yongnuo YN560-III Speedlite with its stand, two Yongnuo RF-603C II transmitters, one remote control, 2 additional SD cards, additional AA batteries, additional batteries for the remote control, mini tripod and the cables of the camera.

Feedback

The most important thing while taking a photo is making a great composition. The composition of the photo can't be corrected as the colors can be more. Make sure to take your time while taking photos.
