Behind The Lens

Location

America's Production Studio.

Time

Daytime. I was in my studio, so it was, lets say afternoon. Not that it is relevant.

Lighting

The lighting was crazy simple, one strobe with some diffusion.

Equipment

Canon 5D Mark II. Single Alien Bee Strobe.

Inspiration

I loved the style of the microphone.

Editing

I cleaned up the image in post and added some blur to the guitar. Otherwise just minor retouching.

In my camera bag

Bag? I have three lenses, a 24 - 105 (covers wide to short zoom) a 70 - 300 (covers short zoom to long zoom) and a 100 for macro shots. I also own a half dozen abused Alien Bees.

Feedback

Like Nike says, "Just do it." There really is no trick to this shot. I simply lined up a couple similar items and kept it simple. The simple shots often work out the best.
