Unbelievable timing..Can't help but wonder how long, or how many attempts it took to get this photo..Congratulations

Location
Somewhere in the middle of Kansas. I was driving home one day, right at dusk, when I saw this lightning storm heading my way. After a few miles and the storm getting closer I noticed this barn out in the middle of this wheat field. So, I took out my lightning rod, otherwise known as my tripod, and headed out into the middle of the field hoping the farmer wasn't going to be mad if he saw me - and then waited. After about 300 shots, I got what I was looking for.Time
Right after dusk, but just before things got really dark - 7:30 pmLighting
No special lightingEquipment
Nikon d300 and a Nikon 70-200.Inspiration
I love lighting and I love shooting old abandoned houses and barns. So, best of two worlds.Editing
Within photoshop, some sharpening, cropping, and some dodging on the barn.In my camera bag
I try to carry any equipment I might for whatever strange reason might need, nothing worse then seeing the perfect shot, but didn't bring the right equipment. So, I have my 24-120, 70-200, straight macro 110, at least one flash, some pocket wizards and pocket tripods...then the obvious, extra batteries, cards, filters and image tank.Feedback
Patience. The perfect nature shot doesn't always happen on the first shot, or the first hour. If you believe in the shot, then have the patience to wait for it.
