To be honest I thought the original colour picture wasn't enough.. I liked the idea of a b&w to add some depth to the otherwise pretty regular light. This way the darks naturally enhance the whites and give a better light to the whole shot!Equipment
I was standing on a ferry so definitely no tripod! My Canon 500D with a simple twin lens kit (EIS F S 55-250mm f/4-5.6).Inspiration
Sydney skyline is always inspiring...From every angle you look at it! I love skyscrapers and I wanted to capture the feeling you get when you have to look up in the sky to meet the top of a building!Editing
Yes, I took the original picture in colour so I then used Lightroom to edit it to B&W. I cropped part of the background on the sides as I wanted the buildings to be the hero!In my camera bag
My Canon 500D with an 18-50mm lens. And obviously my iPhone 5s because it takes some pretty awesome snapshots!Feedback
Always be ready to snap what catches your eyes! I am no professional photographer and I live in the moment! You just have to recognise that something that you think will make a perfect picture!
