Behind The Lens
Location
The old barn was taken on Shell Creek, TN (Roan Mtn, but live off the main track). The cat was taken at my home on Shell Creek.Time
Both photos were taken at around noon.Lighting
I used the automatic setting on the camera for both photos.Equipment
I think they both were taken with a Sony Alpha, no flash used, no tripod, lens was sony lens.Inspiration
I take a few photos of the mountain and the barn and a few of the cat. This day I was playing with a photo program I downloaded (Image Stacker) and was doing a few military type photos. After a while I was looking at more of my photos to combine and decided the barn and cat might make a haunting type photo. Just combined the two photos and I liked how it turned out.Editing
The only adjustments was a minor bit of lighting, and then the combining of the two photos. I do not like doing very much post-processing. In my opinion to much post processing takes away from the photo(s), so just a dab of lighting and cropping. In my camera bag
I use a canon D60, two cannon lens (18 135 and a 70 300 as a telephoto lens) I also carry rocketfish CPL filter, along with extension tubes for extreme close-ups. my favorite is the 18x135.Feedback
Just be patient, and when combining make sure the two photos will make a good or better photo. Never worry about what others might say about your photos, take and do what you want. Remember every photographer eyes are different and we see things different and take what you see, and use what comes out of the camera with only minor adjustments
